I was extremely interested in learning more about my friend Sophie’s experimental art business, and I thought it would be the perfect subject for a film.

I filmed the piece on my Canon M50 and used my Blue Yeti microphone for the audio, which I had Sophie hold just out of shot.

I edited the project in Premiere Pro and used After Effects to create the animations.

We filmed on an extremely sunny day, so the lighting was quite harsh. I hope you like the effect the tree’s shadows created on the art piece; we went with it. That’s what experimental art is about right?

Natural Rejection

This was the first Student film I created, and still one of my favourites. My filming techniques have come a long way since making this piece, but I love the story and the characters.

It is about a young man named Sydney who is in love with his best friend’s girlfriend. Whilst watching a nature documentary with her, it becomes clear to the viewers that the interactions between the animals in the programme are not so different from the humans sitting on the sofa.

We Love Pasta

Over lockdown, I got really into pasta making. I thought it would be fun to show the process of making pasta from scratch.
